“Let’s go fly a Kite”

We were inspired by the Mary Poppins song "Let's Go Fly a Kite" and the story of 'Laura's Wish' to make and fly kites! We checked the weather was appropriate and talked about how kites need the wind to fly. We took our kites onto Acorn Wood and flew them together. We tested some ideas of running, walking, folding and making different length strings too. What a fabulous afternoon!
