Geography

Geography at Woodland teaches pupils the knowledge, skills and understanding to make sense of their world.

The curriculum is designed to provide a means of exploring and appreciating the world in which we live. It should stimulate a curiosity and fascination about the way the world has evolved, and about the relationships between the Earth and its people. This will hopefully remain with the children for the rest of their lives.

Geography can encourage pupils to think about their own place in the world, their values, and their rights and responsibilities to other people and the environment.

“Geography is the subject that holds the key to the future”
